Day Off

This state of being, for me, 
always fleeting.
I would do anything to make it longer
make it last if I could.
Desperate for this 
equilibrium at the center
Neutral neutrality
Engaged, safe,
Honest, observational
Ready, at peace,
Serious, lovely, 
laughing, all at once.
Sandpaper and gravity-
Digestion and clarity
Sandalwood and peanut butter
Brown, dark brown, and red. Hot against my face
Red against my blue
Touch me everywhere
I want to feel you.
Reach into my chest
Can I swim in my own arteries?
The pleasure of living, not euphoric-
The sincerity of contentedness
Makes me want to
Freely, I feel free
